To respond to increasing traffic noise levels in urban areas, a semi-enclosed noise barrier system has recently been completed in Macau. The project is designed to reduce noise impact on surrounding areas while preserving airflow, natural lighting, and visual openness.
With continuous growth in traffic volume, urban roads and elevated structures require noise control solutions that do not compromise the surrounding environment. Fully enclosed systems are not always suitable due to ventilation and spatial constraints. This project adopts a semi-enclosed noise barrier design to achieve a practical balance between acoustic performance and urban integration.

The noise barrier system combines sound-absorbing panels with transparent sections, allowing effective noise attenuation while maintaining visibility and daylight penetration. The semi-enclosed configuration improves overall noise reduction compared to conventional open barriers, while avoiding the closed-in feeling of fully enclosed structures.
The structure is engineered to withstand long-term outdoor exposure, with materials selected for durability, weather resistance, and stable acoustic performance.
During installation, our technical and engineering team conducted on-site inspections to ensure correct alignment, secure connections, and compliance with design requirements. Special attention was given to structural stability, panel installation accuracy, and overall visual consistency along the roadway.

This Macau project demonstrates the effectiveness of semi-enclosed noise barriers in complex urban traffic environments. The system provides a reliable solution for roads, viaducts, and urban transport corridors where noise reduction, ventilation, and aesthetics must be addressed simultaneously.
The successful completion of this semi-enclosed noise barrier project highlights our experience in delivering customized noise control solutions for infrastructure projects. We continue to support urban development by providing practical, durable, and performance-oriented noise mitigation systems tailored to local conditions.
